Brunch and the City–Explore DC with a Hill native looking to rediscover her home town.
I was born and raised in DC (yes, within the actual city lines, not the ‘burbs), moved to New York City for college and moved back here in 2002 to figure out my career path…or more like trying to figure out what that means…I was a communications major with a focus in journalism and photography, two things that are still passions of mine. But after coming back to DC I decided to follow a path into marketing, which I find very exciting with the growing scope of the Internet. When I’m not working, I like to find good brunch spots, spend time with friends and family, fix up my very old row house on Capitol Hill, travel, and get reacquainted with the city I grew up in.
Browse around, leave some comments, feel free to follow me on Twitter or send me an email, ask for brunch recommendations, or suggest brunch spots for me to review!

I love your site. Keep it up !
Just stumbled across your site by accident and love it! I used to live in DC and now live in NYC. I’ll be following you on Twitter as I go back to DC regularly and definitely am always looking for brunch recs to explore!
As a native New Orleanian I enjoy food, especially brunch. I visit DC often and will refer to your blog for all the latest news. Thanks.

Claudia — Is the 14-year old dog my friend Moseby? If so, please give him a huge hug. I lived in the basement apartment across the alley from your parents’ garage door. I had several different Great Danes (including the 3-legged puppy, Jake). If this is you, please also say HI to your mother and father for me!

Yes! Good memory! Although I hadn’t updated that in some time — he was turning 16 this month but recently passed away. We had a lot of great years with him!
Hi Claudia – great site and reviews! I’m also a native Washingtonian who left DC for school in NYC. I moved right back to jump into public affairs/PR and my hobby is also checking out great food places in the area. Lots in common! Keep it up and I cant wait to read more!
