My first reaction was…am I watching?? But I have to admit that I got drawn in. It’s amusing and oddly catchy.
The California Milk Processor Board has created a campaign to reach out to younger consumers, where else, but on the Internet! And so we now have White Gold and the Calcium Twins, with their first video, One Gallon Axe. Like any band (and Internet campaign), they have a MySpace page, Facebook group and an insanely interactive website. Will it convince teens and 20-somethings to drink more milk? Who knows, but it sure is getting people talking! This is definitely viral marketing at its finest.
